Mission Meals

Patitas Program 
Patitas, Spanish for “little paws” is our Mission Meals Pet Food Program! In providing hot meals to our unhoused community members, we immediately noticed a large number of recipients were sharing their meals and water with their pets. In an effort to ensure that meal recipients and pets both had access to food, we began sourcing pet kibble and water to distribute during our meal drop off’s. We are currently servicing unhoused dogs with personalized kibble and water allocations as needed according to each pets guardian.

For our unhoused community members, their pets are their best friends, protectors, companions, family members and play a crucial role in their lives. Please consider joining us in making food and water accessible to people and pets alike!

Grocery Program
We believe in the human right to access nutritious and quality food resources regardless of zip code, housing or immigration status.

Our coalition currently services 300 households & with a collective household average of 5, we directly connect over 1,000 individuals with groceries on a weekly basis. As a collective, we curate groceries that are prepared and distributed to individuals and families. We believe in the human right to access nutritious and quality food resources, and believe in serving the most structurally neglected and food insecure.

We’ve serviced community members who wouldn’t have access to a consistent food source otherwise, and who experience a myriad of structural barriers including monolingual services, and lack of access to water, electricity, or refrigeration. We intentionally plan for an approach that humanizes our recipients, with consideration for culturally relevant food and other access needs.

To subsidize grocery item donations, our coalition relies on donations to provide staples like rice, beans, eggs, milk & for select community members, Maseca in order to fulfill food basics for many of the households we support. Purchased items are portioned based on household size and expressed need.
