In making food and water accessible to the communities we service, we quickly learned of the intersection between oral health, food access and overall health equity.

Through our community engagement and outreach, we learned our community members with poor oral health are more likely to be malnourished due to their inability to eat nutritious foods and many with exposed tooth nerves, have difficulty drinking water. We quickly learned we had to do more than just providing hot meals., we needed to make oral hygiene materials accessible.

Through donations, we’re able to distribute tooth brushes, floss and tooth paste to unhoused, low-income and uninsured community members of all ages. We rely on direct monetary and product donations to support our Dental Hygiene Kit distributions along with restocking our community members with floss and toothpaste regularly.
